What is Iconic?

Iconic is my thesis film; it's an animated short done in paper cut animation technique. Iconic is a story about teenage girl, who finds a new thing to fangirl over: the lord and savior Jesus Christ.

This film explores the themes of fan culture and religion, and their many similarities, both superficial and deep. The film both defends and criticizes these phenomena, there's a lot of thoughts behind it but at the end of a day it's mainly just a story about passion that helps people through hard times.

The film is currently in preproduction stage. It also recieved two rewards in the Pitch25 competition, including Yleisradio's Best Pitch prize!
