Hello there!

 

My name is Sofia Liukonen, and I'm an ambitious independent animation director and comic artist currently located in Turku, Finland.

My biggest strenghts as an artist and storyteller lie in developing and polishing ideas, strong artistic vision and having a lot to say. A lot of my work explores the edge between thought provoking larger-than-life fine art and accessible, easy and fun entertainment.

I am currently working on a webcomic Yaga & Koschei, as well as a my third short animated film Iconic, which happens to be my thesis film for the Turku Arts Academy's Bachelor of culture and arts animation prgram.
